Abstract: The writing of Amos 4:6-11 is an additional story of God's actions in the past through the writing of the judgment given to Israel. Each form of judgment begins with an appeal to what God does, with the conclusion that every judgment comes from His word. In the literary layer, Amos 4:6-11 reaffirms the series of punishments in the form of climactic literature. There are several opinions on this climactic literary interweaving by observing the use of divine words that affirm the context of past judgment. Similarly, the use of the word repetitious as part of the climactic literature that Israel does not want to turn to God. Through the affirmation of this phrase, there is an understanding as if God places Himself responsible for the past condemnation that Israel experienced. The research method in this paper is an analysis of poetry and climactic literature to raise awareness and meaning of poetry literature as a theological reflection. The purpose of this writing is to explore a form of artistic expression that uses poetry to highlight issues of human action before God. The results of this research are to explain the form of Allah's punishment as part of education for the ummah. Through comparison with the previous two publications, there are several aspects of novelty in the article. The first is the scope of the text being studied, which focuses on verses 6-11 only. The second is the entity of the nation being studied, namely the nation of Israel. The third is the research method used, namely, with a hermeneutic approach to climactic poetry literature.
